Our story...
Being children of immigrants who came to the United States, we've always felt like we have been straddling two worlds, each with very different cultures. We grew up in a Spanish speaking homes, surrounded by Spanish culture. While born in the United States, we believe our homes have always been a microcosm representative of the Spanish world.
As our families' ancestral home and having traveled to Spain extensively throughout our lives, it has become a second home for us. We hope to use this opportunity to share our language and culture with others. We want to share the opportunity to not only travel, but also live, breathe, eat and people-watch to learn from the locals how to blend into the most normal of situations—such as how to carry oneself in a party, restaurant, or store, using language skills to decipher signs, menus, and any other form of written communication. It is our well-versed travels and personal experience with the two cultures that had allowed us to fully engage with students and relate with them on a personal level. We believe this will open the door for you to capture the attention of even the most stubborn of students.
It is crucial in our modern, advanced world to be able to communicate with people of various cultures. Bilingual people are sought after in the job market and it is important to communicate to students the significance of learning a second language, such as Spanish. Being bilingual opens your horizons and provides opportunities, but most importantly, it allows you to engage with the world around you. We are passionate about teaching and are eager to finally be able to merge our two worlds through this experience.
